Why Turkey & Why our Hospitals ?
05.05.2022

Turkey has a very well-trained and educated workforce in the health sector. There are no problems with communication with doctors and health workers who speak foreign languages. A health tourist can easily get answers to all kinds of questions that arise in his head. In addition, both doctors and nurses inform the health tourist who is being treated at an adequate level before and after the operation to ensure that he is mentally well.

Due to climatic disadvantages, the demand for thermal tourism is greater, especially in Northern Europe and the Scandinavian countries, where rheumatic diseases are observed intensively. Our country, which has relative advantages in terms of climate, price, safety and transportation, is in an extremely advantageous position in terms of medical tourism, spa & wellness and spa tourism, advanced age and sports tourism and has the qualities to appeal to all segments. In addition, due to geographical proximity, nature and climatic conditions that are not found in their countries, and taking into account cultural similarity factors, Turkey is in a position to be an important health and thermal tourism destination country within the Middle East countries.

Recent visa exemptions granted to Middle Eastern countries, facilities provided at the borders and other political and cultural relations have led to significant increases in travel from these regions. Due to the fact that healthcare costs are Jul-ter in developed countries, there is an increasing tendency for healthcare services to be provided from lower cost countries in order to reduce the treatment services of patients. After Sweden, Norway and Denmark, some private insurance companies in Germany and the Netherlands have decided to cover the costs of their patients who will be sent to Turkey for thermal treatments, which constitutes an important Sunday share in terms of thermal tourism in our country.

Health tourism will show an even faster increase in our country in the future if people's care for their health increases, health services become competitive and cost differences remain the main element. In particular, experts predict that the increase in demand for plastic surgery will continue, so that there will also be a significant demand for overseas services, and health will be replaced by heart surgeries, which are the main element of tourism. Turkey is ready to provide services within the scope of health tourism to approximately 1 million population in neighboring countries primarily with the quality and economical health services it provides. Very soon, our country will be number one in the world in terms of health tourism.
